Students from Biology Education Department at Tishk International University participated in the Thailand Corner Competition, presenting a project on sustainable tourism in Thailand. The activity was organized by Tishk International University in cooperation with Thailand Consulate.

The aim of the activity was to enhance students’ understanding of tourism, cultural exchange, and sustainable development while improving their research, presentation, communication, and teamwork skills. The competition provided an opportunity for participants to explore Thailand’s rich cultural heritage, tourist attractions, and sustainable tourism practices.

The Biology Education  team consisted of Shnia Sadiq, Rezhin Nawzad, Binayi Hikamat, and Helina Kayfi. The participants worked collaboratively to prepare and deliver a presentation highlighting the importance of sustainable tourism and its positive impact on economic growth, cultural preservation, and environmental protection.

The activity was aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), by highlighting Thailand tourism and its role in supporting economic development. It also supported SDG 4 (Quality Education) by improving students’ research, presentation, and communication skills.

The competition served as a valuable learning experience, enabling students to exchange knowledge, develop professional skills, and strengthen international and cultural awareness. Tishk International University remains committed to encouraging student participation in educational and cultural activities that support sustainable development and global engagement.
