The Biology Education Department at Tishk International University organized an educational field trip to Barzan as part of the Ecology course for third-grade students. The trip was conducted under the supervision of Mrs. Sawsan Hameed, with the assistance of Mr. Dana Luqman, and guided by Mr. Sdiq from Barzan, ensuring a well-organized and educational field experience.
During the field visit, students explored several important natural locations, including Dore Canyon, Zorkvan, and Shanadar Cave. These sites provided students with valuable opportunities to observe ecosystem diversity, geological formations, vegetation types, and environmental interactions in real-world conditions.
Students practiced ecological observation techniques, identified plant and animal habitats, and discussed ecological relationships such as energy flow, biodiversity, and environmental adaptation. This practical exposure strengthened their understanding of classroom concepts and enhanced their analytical and research skills.
Field-based learning plays a vital role in developing scientific thinking, teamwork, and environmental responsibility among students. The Biology Education Department remains committed to providing experiential learning opportunities that enrich academic knowledge and support professional development.
