STRENGTHENING MATHEMATICS EDUCATION THROUGH COGNITIVE COMPLEXITY This interactive seminar was developed to academically challenge instructors of mathematics courses and encourage them to engage in a pedagogical approach that would enhance the critical thinking skills of the learners. Cognitive complexity and metacognitive are distinguished approaches that are notable for that purpose. The Faculty of Education successfully administrated a Table Tennis Tournament for its students to participate in. The tournament started early February and progressed throughout the semester. There were almost 30 players from the Education Faculty and they all enthusiastically engaged in the tournament. Didar Mohammad from ELT (4th) and Salman Haidar from Physics (2nd) advanced to the finals after triumphing over their opponents. The final match was an intense battle between the two; they were surrounded by spectators who were supporting and cheering for their favorites.
