Faculty Council at Tishk International University meeting took place at the Faculty of Education on May 13, 2026. The meeting aimed to strengthen communication between students and faculty leadership. It also encouraged student participation in improving academic life and campus services.
Student Voice and Academic Dialogue
The Faculty Council welcomed Ms. Sara Sdeeq, the Faculty Student Representative from the Biology Education Department. She joined the meeting to share students’ opinions and discuss ways to improve the educational environment. Moreover, the session created an open space for communication and collaboration between students and faculty members.
During the discussion, students raised several important topics. They suggested displaying the names and photos of top students on faculty walls. This idea aimed to celebrate academic achievement and encourage motivation among students. In addition, students discussed cafeteria prices and requested half food portions to make meals more affordable and accessible.
Improving Student Services
Students also highlighted weak Wi-Fi and internet access inside the faculty building. Strong digital infrastructure supports learning, research, and communication. Therefore, improving internet access remains important for student success and academic engagement.
The discussion also covered midterm and final examination schedules. Students asked for clearer communication regarding official holidays and exam planning. Furthermore, they emphasized the importance of timely updates to support effective time management and reduce academic stress.
The Dean and Faculty Council listened carefully to the concerns and suggestions. They confirmed that the responsible departments and committees would review the issues. As a result, the meeting strengthened trust between students and faculty leadership.
Overall, the session reflected the faculty’s commitment to student well-being, inclusion, and educational quality. Through active dialogue and shared responsibility, the Faculty of Education continues to build a supportive learning environment that values student voices and sustainable academic development.
