On December 25, 2020, 3rd grade students from department of physics education presented their posters and 3D models about sound and wave lesson. This activity was a part of the course PHYS 303 Sound and Wave Motion. The aim of this poster exhibition was to make students more knowledgeable about the applications of the lesson in our daily life, engage them to the lesson, and to improve their presentation ability in front of people as well. The poster presentation was supervised by the lecturer of the course, Dr. Muhammad Hisham [wds id="52"]

On December 23, 2020, 3rd grade students had poster presentation about Modern Physics lesson. The project was supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Azeez Abdullah Barzinjy. Students presented handmade models about their projects. This activity was part of PHYS 302 Modern Physics course. On December 23, 2020, 4th grade students from department of physics education presented their posters and 3D models about Nuclear Physics. This project was part of the physics course PHYS 405 Nuclear Physics. The project was supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mudhaffer Mustafa.  4th grade students presented their hand made models and posters.   [wds id="51"]  

On December 8, 2020, in the weekly departmental seminar of physics education, the title was “Characterization Techniques”. The seminar was held by Asst. Prof. Dr. Aziz Abdullah Barzinjy, who is our part-time lecturer at Tishk International University from the department of Physics Education.[wds id="46"]

On December 15, 2020, in the weekly departmental seminar of physics education, the title was “Infrared (IR) Spectroscopy”. The seminar was held by guest speaker from Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Faiq H.S Hussain. He is the dean of Faculty of Science.[wds id="45"]

On December 22, 2020, in the weekly departmental seminar of physics education, there was an invited speaker from Pharmacy Department. The title of the seminar was “Extraction of Natural Compounds”. Dr. Javed Ahamad, PhD Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry, from Faculty of Pharmacy presented the seminar and shared his experience with the audience.[wds id="44"]

On January 5, 2021, in the weekly departmental seminar of physics education, the title was “Investigation of dielectric and gas sensing properties for CO gas of Al doped ZnO Grown by sol-gel spin-coating method”. The seminar was given by guest speaker from Science Faculty, Information Technologies Department, by  Ms.Togzhan

On November 17, 2020, in the weekly departmental seminar of physics education, the title was “The Revolution of Nanotechnology”. The seminar was held by our part-time lecturer Asst. Prof. Dr. Aziz Abdullah Barzinjy. At the end of the seminar he answered the questions coming from the listeners.[wds id="42"]

On March 6, Saturday, 2021, Department of Physics Education organised “4th national workshop on innovative teaching skills in physics”. It was performed according to schedule online through zoom platform from 10.30 AM till 14.00 AM.  More than 45 participants from physics education department attended to the workshop. 11 speakers shared their experiences with the audience. After each talk, participants also found chance to ask questions to the presenters. At the end of the workshop participants filled in the online certificate form and evaluated the workshop. The timetable for 4th National Sharing Experience Workshop For physics education is as follows. It will start at 10.30 and will continue with the opening of the dean of faculty education. Students who attended to the workshop will be awarded with an online certificate. To get the certificate participants should fill in the online form which will be submitted during the workshop.
