Sophomore Physics and Mathematics are preparing their Physics Show Project which will be held on 9th of January .We are looking forward to seeing the projects. All staff and students are welcome.

On 20th November, 2017, students of 3rd grade physics education department exhibited posters and 3- D models about the subject “Waves and Optics”. The event took place at the entrance hall of the faculty of education building. Students showed their ability in modeling their projects and presenting. Optics is a prominent branch in physics and got a lot of application in our daily life and made humans to understand about light better.

Special Celebration for Flag Day On Dec.18th Physics education department celebrated Kurdistan flag day which is on 17th Dec. The celebration was specifically organized for the faculty of education by 2nd grades physics education department at the entrance of the faculty building, renewing their pledge to serve citizens of this nation under the flag that have just celebrated its glory.  

Department of Physics Education organized an orientation seminar program for our new coming students. The seminar prepared and presented by Mr. Pshtewan. The seminar program included a presentation and a university tour. In the seminer topics included the semester based education system at Tishk International university, registration system, attendance system, student information system, examination system, grading system, social activities, physics education department`s curriculum. On 8th of November 2016, the department of Physics Education held the first poster presentation of this academic year. Physics teacher candidates prepared posters about Astronomy lesson. Astronomy is the study of science about celestial objects such as Sun, moon, stars, planets, comets, galaxies and the physical universe as a whole. Given the size of the universe (which could be infinite), astronomy is an enormous field. Poster presentation is one of the modern ways of teaching and learning as a student centered method. On Monday 30th May the Department of Physics Education held the first poster presentation. Physicist members are invited to judge the poster competition, meeting with each student to assess their knowledge and overall visual impact of the poster. The jury members work closely with the Department to promote academic and enhance useful knowledge, ensuring that courses reflect current developments and to provide successful student development. Their support provides students with the opportunity to gain experience and more confident for the next works. Department of Physics Education organized a seminar under the title of ‘’The Basics of Physics with Calculus’’, and it is presented by Head of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University. In this recent seminar, the importance and usage of some basics of calculus in Physics are introduced and some important applications of calculus are given to the students in order to be more familiar with mathematics.
