On 25th of May 2017 there was an activity of the second grade physics education students about Earth Science. It took place in the Education Faculty Building main entrance hall.  Students prepared three dimensional (3-D) models and poster exhibition about different topics of Earth Structure and Space. They presented their works to the jury members of physics education department. Students from other departments also visited the exhibition.

On Thursday 8 of June 2017, third workshop was held by the staff of Physics Education Department at Tishk International University Physics laboratory. In the workshop a number of physics teachers participated from different schools in Erbil. Workshop started in the morning and teachers did three experiments on: ·  Determination of gravitational constant with motion detector, ·  Determination of air resistance with motion detector, and ·  Determination of Newton's second law of motion with air track and motion detector. On Wednesday 10 of May 2017, second workshop was held by the staff of Physics Education Department at Tishk International University Physics laboratory. In the workshop a number of physics teachers participated from different schools in Erbil. Workshop started after lunch time and teachers did two experiments about circular motion and oscillation. Teachers filled out the experiment reports during the experiments. This is the second session of continuum “National Workshop on Physics Experiments” series.  

On 27 th of April 2017 two presentations were presented, the first one on "Influence of fake science on community" presented by Mr. AKAM MOHAMMED the founder of (Physics for Kurd)'s website  and "on the weird  nature of quantum mechanics and common sense" by Mr.MUHSIN BURHAN  research assistant in physics department –college of Science - Sulaimaniah University and the general manager of (Physics 4 Kurd)'s website, the presentation was for the first, second and third grade students in physics education department.  

On 10th of May 2017, the department of Physics Education held a poster and 3- D model exhibition on Modern Physics. Students of third grade of physics education department prepared posters and models on different topics about modern physics from the beginning of the history of modern physics to the applications of modern physics in real life. Students explained their projects to every jury members.  Physics department staff and guest physics teachers from different schools evaluated student projects as jury members. PARTICIPATION OF PHYSICS DEPARTMENT IN SPRING FESTIVAL OF LANGUAGE, CULTURE AND SCIENCE AT Tishk International UNIVERSITY Students in Physics Education Department participated in a Spring Festival under the name of Spring Festival of Language, Culture and Science on 12 April, 2017 that is organized by Tishk International University. Our students participated by two tents with the name of ''Beauty of Physics'' and they represented 7 projects under the names of Van der graaf generator, Unrideable bike, Dragon illusion, Optical illusion, Convection current of water, Art of Physics and Magic wand. In 19 March, 2017 a workshop was held by the staff of Physics Education Department at Tishk International University Physics laboratory. In the workshop a number of physics and science teachers participated from different schools in Erbil. Four experiments were done by the teachers by filling out the experiment reports. This is the first session of continuum “National Workshop on Physics Experiments” series.      

In March 29, 2017, a scientific visit was held to the Hydraulics Laboratory in Civil Engineering Department with the second grade students of physics education department.  Our visit to the advanced laboratories was for the purpose of increasing students’ scientific knowledge about the hydraulic properties of water as well introducing the practical side of the courses they study. Besides this fact, it provides a way to encourage students to have fun while learning. Additionally, we would like to thank the Engineering Faculty and the Civil Engineering Department, for cooperating with us.
