On 09.05.2018, the students of 3rd year in Physics Education Department prepared lunch meal and invited their lectures to enjoy it.

The 5th Tishk International National Student Conference was held at Education Faculty on May 8th, 2018, in co-operation with the students. Vice Presidents, Deans of Faculties, and lecturers attended the conference. The event started with the opening speech by Dr. Süleyman Çelik Chair of NASCON and the Dean of Faculty of Education. The keynote speech of the conference made by Dr. Kamal Surji Academic faculty member- Hawler Medical University, Academic Consultant and Healthcare Provider-Board Certified Respiratory Care Tennessee, USA. Education Faculty at Tishk International University organized a Football Tournament starting from 4th May till the 15th of May, 2018. Each stage in all departments had own team and they participated in the tournament in which all the teams had the great friendship and fair play. On 04.05.2018 the students in Physics Education and ELT Department was played and the champion team was the students in Physics Education Department. [wds id="27"]

Our fourth year students successfully finished their school experience practices by the end of spring term. They attended different high schools and secondary schools in Erbil city. The School experience is one of the most important course among the others courses that they took at the 4th year. The aim of the course is to improve the teaching ability of students in real school atmosphere before they graduate.  

In Physics Education Department, a group of staffs did a research on the effect of field trips in better understanding physics topics. The research was about a case study done to Dukan Dam as a part of Electricity and Magnetism course. On 29.04.2018 the researchers presented their study with the title of "The Effect of Field Trips on Building Positive Attitudes towards Physics" in the 9th International Visible Conference on Education and Applied Linguistics -VESAL conference. ????????????????

On 29.04.2018, a seminar was presented about “How to be a successful student in university and overcome stress” to empower the first grade students of physics education. The seminar was presented by Payam Najmaddeen and Mr. Mohammad Salm who are students in 3rd year of physics education; they talked about the studding of academic courses, importance of self-confidence, the ways of being a successful student in university and the factors to be successful. Tishk International University has held 3rd International Spring Festival of Language, Culture, and Science on April 25, 2018, with the participant of general consulates, representatives of the ministry of higher educations and all students of Tishk International University. The festival started at 10:00 AM, in the morning with the opening speech by Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of Board of Trustees. He mentioned the importance of such social and cultural activities as Tishk International University has always been worked on coexistence and gathered different culture and language, as well as this festival, is a clear example of that. First year students of Physics with Biology and Math Departments conducted a workshop about “Soft Skills” on Wednesday 11th April. Mr. Sarwan Hasan, who is a lecturer in Education Faculty, supervised the workshop with the cooperation of foundation teachers as Mr. Unal and Mr. Rizgar. The workshop started at 9:00 AM at the room 301 in the Faculty of Education and continued for three hours. On 10.04.2018, the 2nd year students of Physics Education during this scientific visited to the Surveying Laboratory at Tishk International University, Engineering Faculty, Civil Engineering Department, they were taught basically how the available surveying equipment are working in the Surveying Laboratory at Tishk International University and how these tests and experiments reflects on the field area.
