Tishk International University (TIU) has organized its annual program, VISITING YOUR FUTURE for high school students. The high school students in Erbil were invited to visit the TIU for 3-days programme (February 19th- 21st, 2019) as an attempt to motivate the students to set a future academic plan. The departments of the TIU have participated in the events and they have prepared their booths in the main entrance of the University to introduce their departments. On January, 9th 2019, the Physics department, Faculty of Education, Tishk International University conducted a scientific exhibition on Thermodynamics. In this exhibition, the 4th-year students got a great opportunity to present and share their ideas and prospects with other students and people who are interested in thermodynamics. The students presented instructional 3-D modules, relevant to their prepared posters. The interactive modules prepared by the students can be considered as very important and effective resources for BSc and high-school teachers who wish to include advanced topics in Physics curriculum. On December 17th, 2018, Physics department, Faculty of Education, Tishk International University organized an exhibition about Astronomy, a core course for 3rd-year students at the faculty lobby. Students presented astronomical prototypes included both posters and 3-D models, relevant to their study. The exhibition is considered one of the most fascinating subjects in the Physics department. Due to the limited number of oral presentations in the NW2-2018 workshop, the organizing committee decided to host “poster presentation session” for the researchers who wanted to show their works to the rest. Posters were presented from 10:00-11:00 AM. Poster presentations were delivered by the researchers from the international and national community, including the invited speaker from Jordan and the other oral presenters. Posters were related to various subtitles on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.
