At the end of the workshop event, certificates and awards were distributed to the participant by the organizing committee members.  Awards and special certificate were given at the end of a distinguished presentation. the organizing committee would like to thank Mr Sirwan Kattani from Clever Scientific Company for his kindness and being sponsorship (500 USD) to the 3rd NW.

Sixth talk was given to Dr. Emad O. Badradeen. The title of his talk was: High Performance Nanostructured Flexible Photodetector Devices. Flexible electronics have attracted significant attention in various areas, such as flexible displays, sensors, batteries, solar panels, and health care monitoring. This talk presented the design, fabrication, and test of flexible nanostructured photodetectors constructed with vertically aligned nanorods bonded to a flexible polymeric substrate.

The fifth talk was given by Dr. Dler A. Jameel from Zakho university. The title of his talk was: Nanotechnology and enhancement of Solar Efficiency and the Electrical Properties of Conducting Polymers. As it is known the solar cells are considered as one of the key technologies towards the available and sustainable energy resource. Also, solar cell has demonstrated a promising impact in delivering clean energy worldwide.  Dr. Dler talked about their investigation on the effect of thickness of polymer (Sulfonated polyaniline) and the type of substrate orientations (Gallium arsenide) on the proposed solar cell efficiency.

 12 different  posters on the application on Nanotechnology were presented during the workshop events.  The presentations prepared by the researchers formed a strong platform for scientific discussions.

More than hundred researchers participating the sessions. The last session of the workshop was the open debate as it was planned. Distinguished academicians shared their valuable ideas to improve the ways to do international collaborations in doing researches about nanotechnology and Nanoscience.  

The workshop included 6 talks from 6 different universities; Tishk International University, Ulster university-England, Salahaddin University, Sulaimani University, Soran University, and Zakho University. Early in the session, the head of board of trustees and the president of the Tishk Int. University Dr. Idris Hadi and the president of the Salahaddin University Dr. Ahmed Dizayee also attended to the workshop. This year there was a distinguished guest from England as a keynote speaker: Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed.  He is from Nanotechnology Integrated Biomedical Engineering Centre, NIBEC, Ulster University. He has PhD from Biomedical Engineering and working on drug formulation and drug delivery. [...]

On Dec 21, 2019, the 3rd National Nanotechnology Workshop was held at the Tishk International University, main campus, Erbil. The workshop organized by the physics education department. The main focus of the 3rd nanotechnology workshop was about “The Potential Applications of Nanotechnology” and the reason behind that is the need to highlight the importance of Nanoscience in the daily life. The event started with an introduction about the history of the workshop by the organizing committee.
