Physics in Art and Creativity Fourth stage students of the Physics Education Department, Shahd Nawzad Ali, Sara Hassan, and Sumaya Yusuf, participated in a voluntary art activity. The young professionals painted the solar system on one of the walls in the Education Building in Tishk International University. The illustration also included some information writing on the planets. The painting, which was finalized on July 2nd, aimed to express the beauty of physics and our solar system through art and creativity. [wds id="62"]

The Department of Physics Education held its weekly seminar under the title of “Astronomy Club”, on Wednesday September 22nd, 2021. The seminar was presented by Mr. Sebur Salih & Ms. Payam Najmadden of the Department of Physics Education, with participating department’s staff. The aim of the seminar was to obtain new ideas and suggestions regarding the establishment of an astronomy club at Tishk International University. [wds id="61"]

The Department of Physics demonstrated two new experiments to mark the start of the new academic year of 2021-2022. The event entitled 'Light and Thermodynamics' was held on September 29th, 2021, and aimed to explain the different topics in physics including Doppler Effect, Entropy...etc. [wds id="60"]

Ms. Slvar Abdulazeez Arif is an Asst. Lecturer in Physics Education Department, who teaches computer programming courses. On August 26th, 2021, Ms. Slvar was awarded the BEST PRESENTER certificate after her presentation at the ICOWOBAS 2021 Conference, entitled: A Study Of Qos In An Integrated Architecture Of WLAN And Hetnet Based LTE-A. We congratulate her performance at the conference and we wish her continuous success in her future academic life.

Closing ceremony for first graders

After completing the final exams, the Physics Department organized a closing ceremony for first-grade students, to encourage students to study and use the holiday wisely in preparation for the second grade. The event was held on June 27th, 2021, in which the Head of the Physics Department delivered a motivational speech to all students, and congratulated them all for their hard work and efforts. One of our graduated students was also invited to share his experience with everyone as a first-grader, and how he overcame his difficulties as a student.
