12 different posters on the application on Nanotechnology were presented during the workshop events. The presentations prepared by the researchers formed a strong platform for scientific discussions.
More than hundred researchers participating the sessions. The last session of the workshop was the open debate as it was planned. Distinguished academicians shared their valuable ideas to improve the ways to do international collaborations in doing researches about nanotechnology and Nanoscience.
The workshop included 6 talks from 6 different universities; Tishk International University, Ulster university-England, Salahaddin University, Sulaimani University, Soran University, and Zakho University. Early in the session, the head of board of trustees and the president of the Tishk Int. University Dr. Idris Hadi and the president of the Salahaddin University Dr. Ahmed Dizayee also attended to the workshop. This year there was a distinguished guest from England as a keynote speaker: Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed. He is from Nanotechnology Integrated Biomedical Engineering Centre, NIBEC, Ulster University. On Dec 21, 2019, the 3rd National Nanotechnology Workshop was held at the Tishk International University, main campus, Erbil. The workshop organized by the physics education department. The main focus of the 3rd nanotechnology workshop was about “The Potential Applications of Nanotechnology” and the reason behind that is the need to highlight the importance of Nanoscience in the daily life. On 23rd of December 2019, Physics Education Department at Tishk International University, organized a poster presentation on Modern Physics. The 3rd grade students presented valuable posters in which they covered the most recent topics in Modern Physics. Modern physics based on the two major breakthroughs of the early the twentieth century: relativity and quantum mechanics. The presented topics were discussed and evaluated by professors from the physics department. On Deceber 23, 2019, the Physics department, Faculty of Education, Tishk International University conducted a scientific exhibition on Thermodynamics. In this exhibition, the 4th grade students got a great opportunity to present and share their ideas and prospects with other students and people who are interested in thermodynamics. The students presented instructional 3-D models or experiments, relevant to their prepared posters. The interactive models and experiments prepared by the students are considered as very important and effective resources for BSc and high-school teachers who wish to include advanced topics in Physics curriculum. On the 5th of November, 2019 The Physics department, Faculty of education organized an orientation session for the new registered students. in a brief, staff members at the Physics department made a tour around the university through which the students visited the library and the labs of the university. Students got familiarized with the university environment. A seminar about coerces online registration was presented by the department staff besides, important guidelines and policies of the university were clarified.
