Weekly Seminars At The Department of Physics Education On October 26th, 2022, the Department of Physics Education, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University held its weekly seminar titled: Biosynthesis of Silver Nanoparticle at Various pH Values and their Applications in Capturing Irradiation Solar Energy. Towards Effective Teaching and Learning On the 23rd of October 2022, the Physics Education Department, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University held the 2nd National Workshop on Prospects and Challenges in Higher Physics Education. Department staff members and students from all grades attended the workshop. Staff members from other faculties also joined the event. Astronomy Club Third Outdoor Activity: Solar Eclipse The Astronomy Club at the Department of Physics Education, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University held the third outdoor activity to observe the Solar Eclipse that occurred on Tuesday, October 25th, 2022, at 2:00 PM. The astronomical event was observed using a refractor telescope. Participants were excited to see the solar eclipse through the telescope or high-quality sunglasses provided by Dr. Esmail Musa from the Physics Education Department, who also took the opportunity to explain the scientific definition of a solar eclipse and the history of its previous occurrences. 1st Grade Students Poster Exhibition On June 14th, 2022, the Physics Education Department, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University, organised a Poster Exhibition for 1st-grade students titled: Introduction to Mathematics. The project aimed to provide a scientific environment and introduce this type of event to 1st-grade students. Although this was a new experience for the freshmen, they successfully presented their posters and significantly participated in the exhibition.
