The Physics Education Department at Tishk International University recently organized an enriching academic trip to Koya University on January 9, 2025. The purpose of the visit was to provide fourth-grade students with invaluable hands-on experience and exposure to advanced experimental techniques, particularly within the field of nuclear physics.

A Journey Through Nuclear and Advanced Physics

Upon their arrival, the students, accompanied by their lecturers, were warmly welcomed by Mr. Shallaw Zrar, a distinguished lecturer at Koya University. He provided a comprehensive guided tour of the Nuclear Physics Laboratory, explaining various experiments and offering detailed insights into the complex principles of the field.

Following this, the group proceeded to the Advanced Physics Laboratory, where they were greeted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hawbash Hamadamin, the head of Koya University’s Physics Education Department, along with other esteemed faculty members. The students were given a thorough overview of the state-of-the-art facilities and the latest breakthroughs in physics research being conducted there.

Fostering Academic Collaboration

The trip provided a valuable platform for our students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. It also strengthened the academic ties between Tishk International University and Koya University. We extend our deepest gratitude to the faculty and staff at Koya University for their outstanding hospitality and their dedication to advancing scientific knowledge.

We are confident that this visit will inspire our students and pave the way for future collaborations between our institutions.
