Erbil, Kurdistan – October 15, 2024 — The Department of Physics Education at Tishk International University (TIU) held a welcoming ceremony to officially kick off the 2024-2025 academic year for new and returning students. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, along with all physics staff.
A Vision for the Future
The Dean of the Faculty of Education delivered a motivating speech, highlighting that physics education provides the foundation for a better future. He encouraged students to seize every opportunity to grow academically and personally. “The study of physics not only enriches your knowledge but also instills in you critical thinking and problem-solving abilities that will be valuable in every aspect of life,” he stated.
The Head of the Physics Department, Dr. Pishtiwan Akrem, then shared the department’s vision and expectations for the year, emphasizing a commitment to providing quality education, support, and opportunities for research and professional development.
