The program of the English Language Department – Education Faculty of Tishk International University will enable students to acquire certain skills.

By the end of the program, students will be able to:

  1. Define and apply the basic concepts and principles of language teaching.
  2. Communicate ideas in the English language effectively and appropriately in written and oral forms both in academic and non-academic contexts.
  3. Apply the appropriate methods of assessment and evaluation in the education process to obtain accurate feedback on learners' progress.
  4. Teach language skills (speaking, writing, listening, and reading) effectively.
  5. Apply modern methods and approaches to teaching foreign languages.
  6. Recognize and utilize the difference between material adoption, adaptation, and development methods.
  7. Translate from and into the English language.
  8. Use appropriate methods and techniques to improve students' critical thinking, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  9. Plan teaching and learning processes by considering individual needs, differences of students, and the needs of the teaching field.
  10. Use appropriate methods and techniques for student-centered teaching by considering students' individual and cultural differences.
  11. Provide guidance and counseling to students and their parents to boost the quality of learning of each individual student.
