ELT Attended a Symposium held by the University of Raparin

The English Language Teaching Department, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University was invited to attend a symposium organized by the Department of English Language at Qaladze College of Education at the University of Raparin. The symposium, entitled: The Status of English Language Teaching in State Schools, addressed the status of English language teaching in public schools in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The symposium featured two panels, with one notable presentation by Mr. Soran Mustafa Kurdi from Tishk International University. Mr. Kurdi explored the reasons, consequences, and recommendations for teaching English for getting grades at public schools. His insightful analysis shed light on the challenges and potential solutions related to English language instruction at public schools.

The symposium also included seminars on various topics, such as the authenticity of the Sunrise Program for High Schools in the Kurdistan Region and the global framework of professional teaching standards. The event concluded with engaging in discussions and the distribution of certificates to the participants, recognizing their valuable contributions.
