Tishk International University has launched its very own Campus Radio station 99.9 again. It was officially announced on May 9, 2016. This idea of the radio station came to a freshman student named Aivar Lukman Surji studying ELT while she was in the car listening to the radio. In the country side of Erbil a school has been built inside the Syrian camp. Dr. Numan Kanar and some of ELT students decided to organize a volunteer teaching program in that school. The idea of teaching simply aimed to provide what Tishk International students could offer to these students in need. The third Research Poster Presentation round for final year students of the English language Teaching (ELT) department was held on the January 12th, 2016. The presentations were held in Faculty of Education building. ELT teaching staff Dr. Ashraf Riadh supervised the papers (presentations) and coordinated with the students to their finalization. Third grade students from ELT department paid a visit to elderly home in Erbil; On 16 December 2015 the aim of this visit was to see the elder-lies’ condition out there. The students served lunch to the elderly and they were extremely pleased with our visit. ELT 4th grades of Education Faculty had paid a visit to Darashakran Refugees Camp Primary School on Monday December 14th, 2015. At the beginning of  visit the principle of the school welcomed them warmly and he gave information about the school, students and the process of studying. They visited the classes and provided them some stationary gifts which were bought by the 4th grade students.
