On April 3, 2017 a book report exhibition was held by the English Language Teaching Department at the Faculty of Education. ELT fourth grade students, under the supervision of Dr. Basil Q. Muhammad, exhibited their individual depictions of the story of Swan Lake in the form of creative book reports. The exhibition was held in the Faculty of Education building, and was launched by Dr. Suleyman Celik, Dean of the Education Faculty. Students' projects won the pleasure of all attendants, and were academically evaluated by three jury members for the course of TEFL: Literature.

The 2nd talk of Kurdistan Student Talks (KST) was delivered by Sarah Fadhil, an IT student from the American University of Iraq – Sulaimani. Sarah talked about belief and the power of keeping belief in yourself for success. She further discussed the imperative to challenge oneself for success as an individual and seizing opportunities when they appear to show themselves and when they show change within one as inevitable.

Kurdistan Students Talks (KST) Launched

  Tishk International University is taking the lead in both organizing and presenting the first ever national talk series for students in the Kurdistan Region called Kurdistan Students Talks (KST). KST is a student-led, student-organized, and student-ran series of talk events that is ran by students of English Language Teaching Department. The idea of the project goes back Mawdud Ibahim, a graduating student of ELT Department.
