  Tishk International University is taking the lead in both organizing and presenting the first ever national talk series for students in the Kurdistan Region called Kurdistan Students Talks (KST). KST is a student-led, student-organized, and student-ran series of talk events that is ran by students of English Language Teaching Department. The idea of the project goes back Mawdud Ibahim, a graduating student of ELT Department. On December 21st, Mr. Faiek Saied offered a lecture on Bullying and Its affects on Student to the ELT department students. MR. Faiek Saied is a teacher and writer with numerous books on educational concerns in Kurdistan. For detailed information visit his page here. The ELT department of Tishk International university organized the first lecture of its educational lecture series as a part of its Student Skills Development and Teachers' Professional Development  Programs. The lecture was took more than an hour that ended with critical encounters between the presenter and students of of the Faculty of Education.

The ELTs’ futuristic future teachers showcased their imaginations to produce a classroom of their future. The imaginative Mr.Basar Batur, an assistant lecturer at the ELT department, presented the chance of showing the futuristic teachers’ creativities of designing their future classroom, through organizing an exhibition under the title of My future Classroom. The modern classroom exhibition event was held at the Education Faculty building. Different organizations of classrooms were presented. This event is a part of a Classroom Management course that Mr. Batur is teaching in the department.

SHORT FILM CONTEST portraying TEACHERS IN ERBIL. The ELT Education  is organizing SHORT FILM CONTEST for students of Tishk International University to show and improve their artistic skills and raise awareness about TEACHERS IN ERBIL.
