On May 05, 2025, The Computer Education Department Students from Faculty of Education, at Tishk International University (TIU) successfully carried out a social community project at Laila Qasm School, reflecting the department’s commitment to community service, sustainability, and social well-being. The initiative focused on improving access to clean drinking water and promoting health and sanitation in the school environment.

A team of students and staff collaborated to install a new water cooler, along with the necessary plumbing and electrical work, ensuring a reliable and safe water source for the students and teachers

The project emphasized teamwork, technical skill, and community engagement, encouraging participants to apply their classroom knowledge toward meaningful real-world improvements.

This initiative not only addressed an essential public health and sanitation need but also provided students with an opportunity to develop practical, hands-on experience in planning and implementing sustainable community-based projects. Through this work, the department continues to nurture responsibility, empathy, and environmental awareness among its students.

The project at Laila Qasm School stands as a strong example of how education and community collaboration can contribute to sustainable development and improved living conditions. It highlights TIU’s belief that even small acts of service — when grounded in compassion, innovation, and purpose — can create a lasting impact on society.
