HUAWEI ICT Competition for the Middle East and Central Asia
The HUAWEI ICT Competition, in partnership with UNESCO IITE, is a global initiative designed to foster digital learning and collaboration between the technology industry and educational institutions. This annual competition provides university students with a prestigious platform to showcase their talents and earn global recognition. The Computer Engineering Department at Tishk International University (TIU), an official partner of the Huawei ICT Academy, strongly encourages its students to participate in the ICT Innovation Competition 2024-2025.
Competition Structure and Guidelines
The competition features a four-stage examination process:
- Preliminary Exam: Held online in Iraq.
- National Final: Also conducted online in Iraq.
- Regional Exam: An onsite exam in the Middle East and Central Asia (MECA) region.
- Global Exam: An onsite event in China.
Participation Rules
- Eligibility: All university students are eligible to participate.
- Format: Students can join individually or in teams. Teams are recommended to have three members from the same college or university.
- Track Limitation: Each participant is limited to entering only one competition track.
- Team Integrity: Teams must be registered with their instructor and are not allowed to change their members after registration is complete.
- Advancement: The regional finals are a team-based event, with teams advancing from the national finals.
Students are encouraged to join the competition through the Tishk International University Academy.
