TIU’s Computer Education Department Launches Community Service Project for Educators
The Computer Education Department at Tishk International University (TIU) is excited to announce the successful launch of its community service initiative: a specialized training program designed for local school teachers. Commencing on September 26, 2024, the course has already garnered positive feedback from participants.
The workshops are held every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM in Lab 100 at the university. These sessions offer educators a chance to enhance their digital skills in a supportive and engaging environment. The program’s goal is to equip teachers with the necessary knowledge to effectively integrate technology into their classrooms, thereby enriching the learning experience for their students.
A Hands-On Approach to Professional Development
Participants are actively involved in the training, exploring a wide range of subjects from fundamental computer operations to sophisticated instructional applications. Through this hands-on approach, teachers are able to immediately apply their new skills under the expert guidance of TIU’s Computer Education Department instructors.
One participant shared, “This course has been exceptionally valuable. I have gained a wealth of knowledge on how to use technology in my classroom, and I’m eager to apply these newfound abilities with my students.”
