Computer Education Student Participates in a Championship Game in Iraq

A championship game is an exciting event that brings together the best teams in a sport or competition to compete for the champion title. It is often the culmination of a season of hard work and dedication for the teams involved, and it can be a thrilling and emotional experience for both the players and fans.

The championship game typically draws a large audience and can generate a lot of excitement and anticipation. Fans may gather to watch the game in person, on TV, or online, and there may be pre-game festivities and celebrations to add to the excitement. For the players, the championship game represents the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level. It requires focus, determination, and a strong team effort to come out on top and claim the championship title.

On February 5th, 2023, our first-grade student Eman Maghdid Zangana participated in the championship game of Iraq held in Jordan. She was also the captain of the game and won second place. On behalf of the Department of Computer Education, we sincerely congratulate Eman Maghdid on her achievement and wish her all the best in the upcoming events. Eman Zangana, who broke barriers and excelled in two completely different areas instead of one, is only 24 years old and is currently a student, photographer, and captain of the Iraqi National Handball Team. “People always ask me how I can handle working in completely different fields, but my answer to that kind of question is that I love them all together,” says Iman.

Iman’s journey began when she was only 14 years old and was spotted by the club manager while playing handball at school. “I was playing handball at school, and once the club manager saw me playing and came to me and said, ‘You have talent; why don’t you join our club?’ “Since I love handball, I joined it, and then I became a professional player. I am now the captain of the Iraqi National Handball Team.” She has already been named the best player in the Iraqi League twice, in both 2021 and 2022.

However, Iman’s talents are not limited to sports. At the age of 16, she discovered her passion for photography and started taking portraits and nature shots as a hobby. When people started noticing her work, Iman decided to turn her hobby into a business, create a professional social media account and take orders online. Today, she has her own studio and a team of three women and hopes to expand her business in the future.
