We are proud to announce that Ms. Slvar Abdulazeez, a lecturer from the Computer Education Department at Tishk International University (TIU), recently participated in the 10th International Conference and Workshop on Basic and Applied Sciences (ICOWOBAS 2025). The event was held on May 6–7, 2025, in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
The conference, organized by the Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), was a collaborative effort with several international partners, including Tishk International University (TIU) and Salahaddin University-Erbil from Iraq, and Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) from Indonesia.
Highlighting AI for Health and Well-being
During the conference, Ms. Abdulazeez presented her research paper titled “MemoryMate AI: An Intelligent Assistant for Alzheimer’s Patients.” Her work focuses on using AI-powered tools to support and enhance the lives of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was also involved in a second research project titled “Nozhdar: An AI‑Powered Doctor‑Supervised Nutrition Monitoring App for Kurdish Patients.” This research explores how AI can provide nutritional support under medical supervision, specifically for the Kurdish community.
Her participation in this international conference highlights the Computer Education Department’s strong commitment to research, innovation, and global academic collaboration, particularly in applying technology to solve real-world health challenges.
