On May 5th, 2025, the Biology Education Department at Tishk International University (TIU) organized an insightful scientific trip for its third-grade students to the Exo Gene Laboratory at Zheen International Hospital. Supervised by Mr. Harmand A. Hama and Mr. Raman A. Mohammed, the visit was designed to provide students with crucial hands-on exposure to the real-world practices of genetic testing and diagnostics. Evaluation of P53 Expression Among Colorectal Cancer Patients The Department of Biology, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University organized a seminar titled: Evaluation of p53 expression among Colorectal Cancer Patient, held on April 14th, 2021. The seminar was presented by Mr. Harmand Ali , Head of Biology Education Department. He explained the p53 gene, its role, and its expression on colorectal cancer patients. Mr. Harmand Ali also mentioned how the procedure has been applied on many patients in several hospitals in Erbil and Sulaymaniyah. The seminar was beneficial and students were introduced to new medical knowledge.
