On 8th of November 2016, the department of Physics Education held the first poster presentation of this academic year. Physics teacher candidates prepared posters about Astronomy lesson. Astronomy is the study of science about celestial objects such as Sun, moon, stars, planets, comets, galaxies and the physical universe as a whole. Given the size of the universe (which could be infinite), astronomy is an enormous field.<\/span><\/p>\n

Poster presentation is one of the modern ways of teaching and learning as a student centered method. By preparing and presenting posters, students of physics education have learned how to do and apply this method with their students.<\/span><\/p>\n

Physics department staff are invited to evaluate the poster presentations, meeting with each student to assess their knowledge and overall visual impact of the poster. Students were asked to present their posters at least five minutes to each jury member. Visitors from other departments were also invited to the event. During the poster presentation, they learned about astronomy and marvelous objects in space as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

The posters were exhibited in the main entrance of the education faculty building.<\/span><\/p>\n
