Mathematics and Physics Education Department Organizes Educational Field Trip to Erbil Water Project
\n29 April 2026 \u2013 Erbil
\nThe Department of Physics and Mathematics Education organized an educational field trip to the Erbil Water Project on 29 April 2026 for its students as part of the department\u2019s commitment to enhancing practical learning and connecting theoretical knowledge with real-world applications.
\nThe visit aimed to provide students with firsthand experience and a deeper understanding of the principles of fluid physics, water treatment and filtration processes, and the operation of water pumping systems. During the tour, students observed the various stages involved in water purification, from initial treatment to final distribution, and learned about the technologies and engineering systems that ensure the delivery of clean and safe water to the community.
\nExperts and engineers at the facility explained the mechanisms of water filtration, the role of pumps in water transportation, and the physical principles governing fluid flow and pressure in large-scale water networks. The students were given the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions, enriching their understanding of concepts studied in the classroom.
\nThe field trip provided a valuable educational experience by bridging theory and practice, allowing students to witness the real-life applications of physics and mathematics in public infrastructure and environmental services.
