On <\/span>May 7, 2025<\/span><\/strong>, a group of <\/span>11 second- and third-year students<\/span><\/strong> from the Mathematics Education Department at TIU participated in a community-based project at a local retirement home. The visit was organized under the supervision of Dr. Suzan Sabri and Research Assistant Maria Kawa.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the visit, these students had the opportunity to engage in <\/span>meaningful psychological conversations<\/span><\/strong> with elderly residents, offering companionship and listening to their life stories. The initiative was carefully planned, with prior discussions held with the facility’s management and a sociologist to ensure the activity was beneficial for the residents.<\/span><\/p>\n

This initiative marks the beginning of an <\/span>ongoing collaboration<\/span><\/strong> aimed at fostering community connection and social responsibility among our students.<\/span><\/p>\n
