The presentations were led by lecturer <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">Dr. Suzan Sabri<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\"> and lecturer <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">Minwas Jamal Rasheed<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\">, who delved into topics such as:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span class=\"selected\">Language as a Marker of Identity:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\"> Understanding how dialects, accents, and code-switching reflect cultural and social affiliations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><span class=\"selected\">The Role of Discourse in Shaping Social Identities:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\"> Examining how narratives and communication styles influence perceptions of self and others.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><span class=\"selected\">Intersectionality and Identity Formation:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\"> Analyzing how race, gender, ethnicity, and socio-economic status intersect to shape linguistic practices and identity.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span class=\"selected\">Insights and Collaboration<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"selected\">Participants also engaged in interactive sessions, including collaborative group discussions, which offered hands-on opportunities to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios.
