Mathematics Department and Salahaddin University Collaboration<\/h4>\n

The Faculty of Education<\/a> received a delegation from the Faculty of Science at the University of Salahaddin<\/a> on November 30th, 2021. The delegation consisted of the following:<\/p>\n

  1. Prof. Harish Omar (Dean of Science).<\/li>\n
  2. Assist Prof. Waleed Hussain Aziz ( Representative of\u00a0 Head of Mathematics)<\/li>\n
  3. Khwazbeen Saida.<\/li>\n
  4. Prof. Gashaw Aziz.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Host representatives from TIU included:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Sulayman Celik (Dean of Education).<\/li>\n
    2. Orhan Tug (The Head of Mathematics).<\/li>\n
    3. Salisu Ibrahim.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The rationale behind the visit was based on possible collaboration between the two faculties in the field of research, conferences, and international\/ national workshops. Assoc. Prof. Harish Omar (Dean of Science) proposed cooperation between the two universities in organizing the \u201cThird International Conference of Mathematics and its Application (TICMA)\u201d, to take place on 27-29 March 2022. He also suggested that the Mathematics Education Department at TIU should be part of the proposed programs.<\/p>\n

      Dr. Sulayman Celik further discussed the role of TIU in this collaboration for the international conference and workshop. Dr. Sulayman Celik also suggested that the Logo and the website of Tishk University should be taken into consideration in the conference website.<\/p>\n

      Dr. Orhan Tug talked about the international conference organized by the Faculty of\u00a0 Education at TIU, titled: “6th International Conference on Applied Science, Energy, and Environment”, which would take place 25th<\/sup> \u2013 27th<\/sup> March 2022, suggesting that speakers from TICMA should also be part of the conference.<\/p>\n

      At last, both sides agreed to collaborate and decided on further meetings. Dr. Orhan Tug and Assist Prof. Dr. Waleed will meet together during their leisure time and draft the memorandum of understanding (MOU). On behalf of the Faculty of Education, we would like to thank the delegation from Salahaddin University and look forward to further collaboration and cooperation between the two universities.<\/p>\n
