The first ICOWOBAS was held 14 years ago, in August 2007, in Surabaya. The purpose of the event was to enhance a new collaboration between Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Indonesia, and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia. A year later, the second ICOWOBAS was held in Johor Bahru, Malaysia on 3-4 June 2009, jointly with the Regional Annual Fundamental Science Seminar (RAFSS 2009). In 2017, the conference was held at Salahaddin University (Kurdistan, Iraq) to enrich the collaboration between UTM, UNAIR, and Salahaddin University. In 2019, this event was held again in Johor Bahru, Malaysia at UTM. The event has become a biannual event held by one of those universities.<\/p>\n

Finally this year, we are proud to announce that the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Airlangga will be the host of the 8th ICOWOBAS and we look forward to virtually meeting everyone.<\/p>\n

The 8th ICOWOBAS will be held to signifiy the collaboration between Universitas Airlangga (Indonesia), Universitas Teknologi Malaysia (Malaysia), Tishk International University (Iraq) and Salahaddin University Erbil (Iraq).<\/p>\n

The topic of the 8th<\/sup> ICOWOBAS 2021 is Development of Fundamental Science and Technology in New Normal Era: Its implementation towards Sustainable Development Goal\u2019s <\/strong>and will address scopes as shown below but not limited to:<\/p>\n
