On November 2, 2020, Mathematics Education Department of faculty of Education Organized an opening ceremony about math day. Math day is an event that organize every year in the department this year was different because of COVID – 19 it was tow part online for 4th grades and in comps for 3rd and 2nd graders to reduce crowding because of the pandemic. In the opening ceremony head of mathematics department, Dr. Orhan Tug, provide a speech he talked about the importance of this activity for the academic year 2020 – 2021 same as in the previous years and he show them the program for the whole year and he explain one by one the program which is include games, educational activities, mathematical related seminars, competitions and workshop, etc. The aim of the events was to inspire the students’ interests in mathematics and to encourage them integrates these types of extracurricular activities into their own teaching skills.<\/p>\n
