“Teaching Mathematics in the Context of COVID-19 Workshop”<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

As Mathematics Education Department, we organize “Teaching Mathematics in the Context of Covid-19 Workshop-21”\u00a0<\/strong>regularly every year in the first week of March. The aim of the workshop is to hear personal and professional gains from the experienced people who is in the origin of math education\/mathematical fields. According to the program availability, we invite 5-10 speakers with many participants including the third and the fourth grade students. In the academic year 2020-21, we will organize “Teaching Mathematics in the Context of Covid-19 Workshop-21” which will be held on March 6, 2021 in Faculty of Education, Tishk International University.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Workshop-21 proposes the main and sub-section of the following subjects.<\/strong><\/p>\n

1- Methodology to teach K-12 mathematics<\/strong><\/p>\n

2- Online math teaching: both positive and negative effects<\/strong><\/p>\n

3- Using PBL projects to teach mathematics<\/strong><\/p>\n

4- Using STEM projects to teach mathematics<\/strong><\/p>\n

5- Using games to teach mathematics<\/strong><\/p>\n

6- Using Storytelling and videos to teach mathematics<\/strong><\/p>\n

7- Using technology to teach mathematics<\/strong><\/p>\n

8- Student motivation and self-directed learning<\/strong><\/p>\n

9- Classroom language and English efficacy<\/strong><\/p>\n

10- Diploma and master programs in mathematics education<\/strong><\/p>\n

11- Olympiad activities and its effects to mathematical content knowledge<\/strong><\/p>\n

12- Mathematics department\u2019s works for being an up-to-date teacher<\/strong><\/p>\n

13- University level mathematical content knowledge and knowledge for teaching: exploring its contributions to student learning.<\/strong><\/p>\n
