Freshmen Orientation Program<\/h4>\n

The orientation program at the ELT Department<\/a>, Faculty of Education<\/a> at Tishk International University<\/a> (TIU) took place on the 3rd and 4th of January 2023, aiming to familiarize incoming students with the university campus, academic expectations, and resources available to support their transition into college life. This report provides a brief overview of the orientation program and its key highlights.<\/span><\/p>\n

The two-day orientation program commenced with a warm welcome address by the head of department Dr. Venera Ulker, setting a positive and engaging tone for the event. The program featured a series of informative presentations. On the first day the presentations were delivered by Mr. Reman Sabah & Mr. Ahmed Ariwan and the second day by Mr. Ahmed Ariwan & Ms. Soma Hassan<\/span><\/p>\n

On the first day, students were given a guided tour of the campus, visiting key locations such as academic buildings, libraries, recreational facilities, and student support centers. This helped them become familiar with the physical layout of the university and understand the various resources available to them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout the program, students attended sessions on academic advising, course selection, and the university’s academic policies and procedures. They were introduced to the university’s learning platforms and provided guidance on accessing and utilizing these tools effectively.<\/span><\/p>\n

The orientation program fostered a sense of community and social engagement among the incoming students. Ice-breaking activities, group discussions, and networking opportunities were incorporated to encourage interaction and the development of new friendships among the students. <\/span>The program successfully provided incoming students with the necessary information and resources to navigate their transition into college life. The program not only introduced students to the campus and its facilities but also emphasized academic expectations, study skills, and the support available to help them thrive. <\/span>By the end of the program, students expressed enthusiasm, feeling better prepared to embark on their academic journey and excited to explore the diverse opportunities that <\/span>TIU University<\/a> has to offer.<\/span><\/p>\n
