The workshop aimed to design a syllabus that could fulfil the needs of the first-year students of the\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/education.tiu.edu.iq\/elt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">English Language Teaching Department<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0and equip them with the tools needed for their subsequent years. Within this context, the\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/education.tiu.edu.iq\/elt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">ELT<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0lecturers shared their experiences regarding the challenges and difficulties in identifying required and recommended syllabus elements.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">On the first day,\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"academics.tiu.edu.iqacademic-staff\/behcet-celik\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Mr. Behcet Celik<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0discussed the purpose of a course syllabus and identified required and recommended syllabus elements. On the second day,\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"academics.tiu.edu.iqacademic-staff\/soran-mustafa-kurdi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Mr. Soran Mustafa Kurdi<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> introduced recognising aspects of effective syllabus design supporting student engagement and learning. The <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/education.tiu.edu.iq\/elt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">ELT<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0lecturers shared their ideas and experience regarding what should be done to make it more fruitful.
