2017-2018 Academic Year<\/strong><\/p>\n

Information to Students<\/strong><\/p>\n

The aim of Summer Term:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Students have the opportunity to take upper year courses so that they have a chance to graduate earlier.<\/li>\n
  2. Students have the opportunity to increase their grades so that they have a better average (increase GPA).<\/li>\n
  3. Students who have failed their courses during the academic year have an opportunity to take the same courses in the summer term.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Some important points students need to know:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Students who have failed the courses FF, FD, DD–<\/sup>, DC–<\/sup> and due to attendance<\/strong> (NA), they may have summer term courses yet attendance and payment are compulsory. In summer term students are allowed utmost 3 courses (course hours are given twice as much as credit; for instance, a course which has 3 credits will be taught 6 hours in a week).<\/li>\n
    2. A course will be opened in summer term on condition that minimum 4 students enroll. Students will pay an amount of payment per credit hour in the summer term.<\/li>\n
    3. Full-registration must be completed on 1 – 4 August 2018.<\/li>\n
    4. The last day for add and drop courses is 5 August 2018.<\/li>\n
    5. Classes start from 5 August 2018 to 13 September 2018<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    6. Summer term course final examinations will take place between September 16- 23, 2018<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    7. The educational term for the summer term is 6 (5+1) weeks. The first five weeks include summer term mid-term and other exams. 6th<\/sup> week covers final exams.<\/li>\n
    8. For further details, you may contact your department heads.<\/li>\n
    9. All passing grades, attendance rules, disciplinary rules will be applied according to \u2018Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations, and Disciplinary Rules of Tishk International University\u2019.<\/li>\n
