Here are the steps you should follow:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Course registration process will <strong>start on February 5 and finish on February 6, 2017<\/strong> and all students<strong>, themselves<\/strong>, <strong>have to register courses<\/strong> to take lessons and exams. Read related parts of Students Handbook.<\/li>\n<li>Lessons will start on February 07, 2017.<\/li>\n<li>Be sure that you don\u2019t have payment problem.<\/li>\n<li>In internet, get in the My-Tishk International  web site. You can try <strong>Student portal<\/strong> on Tishk International  home page (<a href=\"http:\/\/tiu.edu.iq\">tiu.edu.iq<\/a>) or type <a href=\"http:\/\/my.tiu.edu.iq\">http:\/\/my.tiu.edu.iq<\/a> on the address bar of internet explorer. User name is your student number. If you forgot your password, see Student Affairs to get it with your university ID. If you lost your ID, see IT services.<\/li>\n<li>Firstly, go to Personal Information tab and update your contact information (phone numbers). Then go to My settings and update your email address if there are changes. If you are entering the system for the first time, you\u2019ll be asked automatically.<\/li>\n<li>Go to \u201cCourses I required to take\u201d in Academics tab. Select the courses in an order from up to down. You need to start selecting from the failing courses if you have.<\/li>\n<li>When you finish selecting all courses, go to your advisor to <strong>take approval<\/strong> and <strong>your registration form<\/strong>. (Rebin Khalid Khdir is written next to them).<\/li>\n<li>You need to take <strong>a Non-technical Elective course<\/strong> in this semester. We will open <strong>GEN 210 BODY LANGUAGE IN TEACHING <\/strong>course for you. If you want to choose this course go to <strong>Departmental Courses<\/strong> But if you want to choose another course, you may choose one of the many courses from other departments as Non-technical elective. This course has to be suitable for your schedule. See your advisor for more details to take a course from other departments.<\/li>\n<li>If you have courses failed from previous semesters and don\u2019t need to attend course: Don\u2019t forget to <strong>see your lecturer<\/strong> for your failed course and <strong>fill the petition<\/strong> about attendance exemption and bring it back to your advisor. Otherwise your attendance will be obligatory in these courses. You need to fulfill all requirements (Homework\/assignments, presentations, quizzes, midterms etc&#8230;) of these courses to pass.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>3rd Class Students<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There are A and B branches (groups) in most of the courses. <strong>Choose your group as it was in previous semester.<\/strong> For example, if you were 3A class, choose A branches of the courses.<\/li>\n<li>For Translation course, Kurdish and Arabic speaking students will choose Translation Kurdish. Turkish students will choose Translation Turkish as it was in the first semester.<\/li>\n<li>You need to take <strong>three Technical Elective courses<\/strong> <strong>to graduate<\/strong>. You can see them as Major Elective Course in your curriculum. This semester we offer you one of them. You may choose <strong>ELT 394 21ST CENTURY LEARNING<\/strong> <strong>or\/and<\/strong> <strong>ELT 484 ELT TESTING and\/or ELT 396 CREATIVE WRITING <\/strong> If you cannot find these courses in your list, go to <strong>Departmental Courses<\/strong> list.<\/li>\n<li>If you have courses failed from previous semesters and don\u2019t need to attend course: Don\u2019t forget to <strong>see your lecturer<\/strong> for your failed course and <strong>fill the petition<\/strong> about attendance exemption and bring it back to your advisor. The last elective has been excluded because of inclusion of Research Project course. If you have taken 3 or more electives so far, you don\u2019t need to take electives anymore.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This semester we will offer you four electives (<strong>ELT432 Second Foreign Language IV Turkish, ELT 394 21ST CENTURY LEARNING<\/strong> <strong>or\/and<\/strong> <strong>ELT 484 ELT TESTING and\/or ELT 396 CREATIVE WRITING. <\/strong>You can choose one or more.
