\"\"On 11th May, fourth-grade students from the English Language Teaching Department of Tishk International University, Muhammed Zaki Aziz<\/strong> and Waad Sadoon Hamad Rasoul<\/strong>, supervised by Prof.Dr. Alpaslan Toker<\/strong>, successfully carried out their capstone project at Mamkhalan School<\/strong> in the village of Mamkhalan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The project visit was honored by the presence of Dr. Unal Ulker<\/strong> and Mr. Behcet Celik<\/strong> from the English Language Teaching Department, Education Faculty, Tishk International University. Their support, guidance, and valuable feedback greatly contributed to the success of the project.<\/p>\n

The Community Project at Mam Khalan Public School began in October 2025 and was\u00a0given its final physical look in May 2026. To assess the physical needs and overall atmosphere of the classroom, we paid a\u00a0visit to\u00a0Mam Khalan\u00a0\u00a0Public\u00a0School\u00a0and noticed\u00a0that there were no decorations or instructional materials in the schoolroom after\u00a0our\u00a0visit. The learning atmosphere was unappealing to pupils;\u00a0partitions appeared simple, and some desks and chairs were broken.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After the visit,\u00a0we prepared\u00a0a list of things that needed to be done to make the educational setting better.\u00a0The following tasks had to be carried out:\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Repairing desks and chairs<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Decorating items, such as instructional maps, photos, and advertising<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. A tiny bookcase and library<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Installing standard curtains<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Paintinganddusting the educational setting<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u00a0<\/span>Project\u00a0Implementation<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Step 1: Repairing Desks and Chairs<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Most\u00a0of the broken dining tables and chairs were removed from\u00a0the teaching area after the first phase.\u00a0To carry out the repair work,\u00a0tables were shipped\u00a0to the University campus\u00a0by\u00a0a\u00a0truck.\u00a0It\u00a0took\u00a0several days\u00a0for repairs to\u00a0arrive. After the\u00a0renovations were completed, seats and workstations were returned to the school and properly placed to provide pupils with an enhanced learning environment.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Step\u00a02: Materials for Decoration<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    For the school environment, the authors created various ornamental components. Films, alphanumeric graphics, teaching labels, and vocabulary from English charts\u00a0were\u00a0selected and hung on the classroom walls. These tools\u00a0were\u00a0deployed to enhance pupils’ academic achievement and add excitement and vibrant color to their education.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Step 3: A\u00a0Bookcase and\u00a0Books<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    It was scientifically proven that\u00a0students experience high levels of motivation if they\u00a0have easier access to books and educational resources.\u00a0To\u00a0provide pupils with a basic study area,\u00a0a small bookshelf was placed in the classroom\u00a0and collected books from our lecturers and students at our university.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Step\u00a04: Installing\u00a0Blinds\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    There were no\u00a0proper shades in the classroom. Therefore, we took measurements, bought blinds,\u00a0and hung\u00a0them\u00a0after calculations were made. The school environment appeared happier and well-organized as a result.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Step\u00a05:\u00a0Exterior Painting and\u00a0Cleanup<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    In the final step of the project, the classroom\u00a0was meticulously cleaned, decorated, and made ready for the students. These improvements and renovations enhanced the\u00a0general look\u00a0of the physical atmosphere\u00a0and\u00a0fostered a joyful and enjoyable learning environment.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the administration and staff of Mamkhalan School for their warm hospitality and cooperation. We also congratulate Muhammed Zaki Aziz and Waad Sadoon Hamad Rasoul for their hard work and successful accomplishment.<\/p>\n
