The supervisor selection process for Graduation Research and Capstone projects in the English Language Teaching (ELT) Department aims to ensure that students receive appropriate academic guidance that aligns with their research interests and inclinations. To this end, the department prepared and published an online survey inviting students to indicate whether they intended to undertake graduation research or capstone projects. Based on their choice of the project type, the department asked them to get in touch with the academic staff who they thought would provide better assistance for their respective projects. The allocation process considers both the student\u2019s research topic and the supervisor\u2019s expertise to ensure a strong academic match. For those who could not make up their minds or find a potential supervisor, the department matched students with the academic staff based on students\u2019 GPA scores and staff members\u2019 respective specialties and availability. To maintain transparency, the class representative of the final year students was invited to witness the selection process.<\/p>\n

Once supervisors are assigned, students were asked to visit the offices of their respective supervisors to talk about their research interests and formalize their relationship. The list of supervisors and supervisees was displayed below in a tabular form. Overall, this structured selection process ensures fairness, supports academic quality, and helps students benefit from mentoring that aligns with their professional and research goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
