The festival also focused on promoting the message of peace and coexistence among countries and nations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The festival started at 10:00 AM with the national anthem, followed by a speech delivered by Dr.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/google.com\/search?rlz=1C1CHBF_enIQ849IQ849&amp;sxsrf=ALiCzsZZIiLxdRjWuVgeLqCRgrX47eEBDQ:1652856885145&amp;q=Abdul+Samad+Salahuddin+Ahmad&amp;stick=H4sIAAAAAAAAAONgVuLVT9c3NMwziC8rKzGIf8RowS3w8sc9YSn9SWtOXmPU5OIKzsgvd80rySypFJLmYoOyBKX4uVB18ixilXFMSinNUQhOzE1MAZI5iRmlKSmZeQqOGUABAFKEVrZrAAAA&amp;sa=X&amp;ved=2ahUKEwjgqYPcu-j3AhWZRvEDHQM7DXIQzIcDKAB6BAgeEAE\">Abdul Samad Salahuddin Ahmad<\/a>, President of TIU, in which he emphasized the importance of such social and cultural activities. Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of the Board of Trustees, also gave a welcoming speech and discussed the objectives of the festival. Following this, Dr. Abdulrahman Sdiq, Head of Environment and Consumer Rights Committee at KRG Parliament, talked about the importance of green energy, and the necessity of minimizing waste to help preserve the environment. TIU music clubs then performed an outstanding live performance to entertain the attendees.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The festival comprised 28 tents each representing a country, 21 scientific tents from TIU departments, 14 tents of alumni start-up business owners, 9 tents of , 6 tents of NGOs for the disabled , 4 nations including Kurdish, Arabic, Turkmen, and Christian, and other tents for food fundraising, art exhibitions, and many entertainment games.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">TIU has always strived toward peace and coexistence and has worked to gather different cultures and language. This festival aimed to celebrate diversity and promote inclusion and set a ground for students, alumni, parents, staff, and officials to get together and enjoy the beauty of culture and language.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"http:\/\/education.tiu.edu.iq\/computer-education\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Computer Education Department<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0represented Korea in the culture tent. With the support of the Korean Consulate in Erbil, the cultural tent was designed as a small traditional Korean home, and traditional Korean food was served to visitors.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Consul General, Mr CHO Kijoung, paid a visit to the tent and congratulated all the students and volunteers who organised the event and prepared an outstanding representation of the Korean culture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In the scientific tent, our department organised a lottery of electronic appliances sponsored by LG and Samsung. The prizes included 10 headphones, 5 electronic facemasks (LG company) and 8 vacuums (Samsung Company). TIU also held a competition between all departments representing different countries and cultures. Our department is proud to have won 3rd place and were presented with gifts for this accomplishment by Dr Abdul Samad Ahmad, President of TIU.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On behalf of the Computer Education Department, we extend our sincere gratitude to all participating staff members and students, and thank all for their significant hard work.
