Tishk International University (TIU)<\/a> successfully held the 6th\u00a0National Workshop on Prospective Biology Teachers, titled “Visualise The Future,”\u00a0on\u00a0May 9th, 2024.\u00a0The workshop, which aimed to help fourth-grade biology students in the department, included speakers from a variety of backgrounds who each brought a special viewpoint to the discussion.<\/p>\nMr. Sercan Oz, the Professional Learning Coordinator at Sterling Schools, began the discussions by delivering a presentation entitled “Timeless Dynamics of Teaching: Teachers Compass and Teachers Tensegrity.” Mr. Oz explored the long-lasting principles of successful teaching, highlighting the careful equilibrium between structure and flexibility in educational methods.<\/p>\n
After Mr Oz’s enlightening presentation, Mr Sarwar Shwan, the Project Manager of Smart Guide and Director of Tishky Gasha School, proceeded to deliver a speech on “Technology in Modern Teaching,” showcasing his extensive knowledge in the field. Mr. Shwan offered attendees an insight into the influence of technology on modern education, demonstrating its capacity to improve the learning process.<\/p>\n
Mr. David Wafula Waswa, a Lecturer at the Mathematics Education Department of TIU, concluded the series of presentations with his discussion titled “Navigating Social Media Ills While Harnessing Its Potential for Classroom Use: A Teachers’ Landmine.” Dr. Waswa provided valuable perspectives on the difficulties and possibilities brought about by social media in the field of education, giving participants the tools to optimise its advantages while minimising its drawbacks.<\/p>\n
The workshop offered a forum for aspiring biology educators to interact with specialists, share ideas, and acquire valuable knowledge to shape their future teaching methods. Attendees of the workshop departed with a renewed sense of inspiration and the necessary tools to envision and influence the future of biology education, with a particular emphasis on the changing educational environment.<\/p>\n
